Mundy Pond: Feature Film

A place… a neighbourhood… a home. But for Gordon and Jimmy, it’s their whole world.

A playground…
A battlefield…
A major league ballpark…

In 1978, Mundy Pond is whatever and wherever Gordie and Jimmy decide it will be. With days full of the carefree play and adventure of the young, the differences in their lives, in their parents’ lives and in their families’ circumstances are as irrelevant and unknowable as their own futures. But the sheltered world of childhood doesn’t last forever, and even the most innocent are not spared experience and revelation.

We invite you to explore Mundy Pond through the eyes of Gordie and Jimmy… where baseball, war, hope, and despair define that line between childhood and growing up. Take a jaunt through this promotional kit and see, read and fell this exciting new project by producer, writer, director, Roger Maunder.

Being produced by UpSkyDown films, Mundy Pond already features a first rate list of cast and crew, including celebrated actor Sebastian Spence (First Wave, Boys of St. Vincent, Dawson’s Creek, Dark Angel) and Executive Producer Ken Pittman (Finding Mary March, Misery Harbour, Making Love in St. Pierre), just to name a couple. UpSkyDown is currently in the process of casting the film and we anticipate exciting additions to our roster in the near future.

At this point, we are interested in exploring distribution options, both domestically and beyond. We invite you to take a few minutes, look through this kit and explore the great potential of this film. Mundy Pond is an exciting feature project that will appeal to a broad demographic. Much like the world in which the film takes place, its appeal, its context and its story are relative to the viewer. A gut wrenching story which, seen through the boy’s eyes, will resonate with viewers of all ages.
